Tasmania is world renowned for its pristine
environment, an unspoilt haven in a polluted world. A land
of abundant resources, fertile soils and clean air and water.
A rich environment that allows us to create a whisky of the highest
quality.
The water for our whisky is taken from a secluded mountain stream
that has its headwaters in the Cradle Mountain National Park, in the
heart of Tasmania's wilderness.
Tasmanian water is probably the purest remaining water in the world.
Our rain is derived from the Great Southern Ocean weather system.
Clouds that carry the rain that falls on Tasmania originate
from Antarctica and South Africa. These clouds pass over isolated
Southern oceans as they travel uninterrupted halfway around the globe.
Unlike other distilling areas in the world, Tasmania is not affected
by acid rain, or the output of nearby nuclear power stations.
