What happens when you mature the same whisky in two different climates? You have to see it and taste it to believe it.
The tale behind these two whiskies is a long and exciting one. In the early 1990's, our previous Director Andrew Morrison travelled to Scotland with a sample of Cradle Mountain Whisky, determind to measure the quality of his new drop against the finest whiskies in the world. It was loved so much that a number or barrels were sent to Campbeltown, Scotland to age.
Determind to discover how climate actually determines the outcome of the whisky, we kept those barrels in Scotland and the same barrels in Tasmania to mature for 21 years, until now.
Now, suprise yourself. Do a little blind test. And discover how much of an impact just the climate can have.
